OPDAG, The Original Paper Doll Artists Guild
Founded in 1984, OPDAG, The Original Paper Doll Artists Guild, is a community of artists, collectors, and enthusiasts dedicated to encouraging the art and hobby of paper dolls through the exchange of ideas, information, and creativity.

Paper Doll Artists Index
In 2026, OPDAG launched the Paper Doll Artists Index to help collectors, historians, researchers, and admirers of paper doll art discover and learn more about paper doll artists past and present. This growing reference archive is a work in progress, and we welcome contributions from the paper doll community. If you have artist suggestions, corrections, or would like to volunteer to help with this ongoing project, please email Jenny Taliadoros.

Our Publication
OPDAG’s publication began in 1984 as a simple black-and-white typed newsletter called "OPDAG News." Over time, it evolved into the full-color magazine Paper Doll Studio. Although most back issues are out of print, our OPDAG Magazine Index provides a useful guide to past issues and their contents.
In 2021, OPDAG’s Paper Doll Studio magazine merged with Paperdoll Review magazine. Each full-color issue features a unique theme, and artists are invited to submit paper dolls inspired by that theme. Both amateur and professional artists are featured at no cost to members.
Issues include features such as:
Theme-related articles
Vintage and contemporary paper doll art
Artist features and interviews
Drawing tips & how-to articles
Fashion history
Paper doll party and convention information
Nostalgic articles celebrating paper dolls of all kinds
Most back issues are available for $8 each, and a 4-issue subscription is $29.95.
